Hola Everyone!! This week has been so long.  I am very thankful that it's Saturday.  We had parent teacher conferences on Thursday and then had a full day of school yesterday.  I had so much fun with my kids yesterday though.  I love taking them to chapel and listening to them sing to God.  They get so excited! It reminds me of how worship should be.  Conferences went well.  Better than I expected with some kids.  It's hard to tell parents that their kids aren't doing well. I was so thankful when they were over and everything went good.  I took these pictures of my kids last week and then we wrote a story about them being out at recess.

Last weekend was so great! A few friends and I went to the beach for my birthday.  We had so much fun! We stayed overnight for the first time.  It was so great to just relax on the beach.  We basically had the beach to ourselves.  We walked over a little hill in the back of our hotel and this is what we saw.  It was amazing!  I definitely never thought I would celibrate my birthday on the beach in a Caribbean island!  The waves were so much fun.  I felt like a little kid.  Trying to jump over the waves and laughing hysterically when they knocked  us off our feet.

We found this random tree on the beach and decided that it would make a great photo opportunity.  Ha Ha!

After we spent the day on the beach we went shopping and had dinner on the beach.  It was so great.  The restraint we went to was definitely the most beautiful place I have ever eaten.

Then I got sarinated by some guys on the beach.  They sang me happy birthday to me, in spanish. It was quite a experience! After dinner we went back to the hotel where my friends surprised me with a birthday cake they brought for me in a bowl.  Ha! We all sat around the table, played cards and ate cake.

It was such a great weekend.  This weekend I stayed home.  I needed the rest after the week I had, but I think we are going to go see a movie tonight.  It is good to get out of this apartment. I have really been looking forward to Christmas lately.  I know it is coming up but it still feels so far away.  You can pray that I won't get to anxious and that I will just enjoy the time I have here and what I am doing.  Thanks for all your support.

Hello Hello! Sorry it's been so long. I have been really busy! I really haven't been doing much other than teaching and preparing to teach, so I haven't had much to post about. Last week I was feeling very frustrated with life, but the end of the week went so well and it was very encouraging. I have been having so much fun with my kids. I brought fall into the classroom, even if it is 90 degrees every day.

We read a book called Pumpkin Pumpkin this week, so I made pumpkin bars for all my kids to try. Most of them loved them. It's not something they have often here.

Look at these cute kids. I love jean day! They come in dressed better than me!

And look and these shoes! One of my other girls was making fun of them. I told her that they were the sweetest shoes I had ever scene!

My kids wanted to say thanks for the pumpkin, so we took a picture with it. Thanks for the pumpkin mom!

It was a great way to end a hard week. I got lots of "Your the best teacher Miss. Wilcox" I love it when they say that, even if it was probably because I brought them a treat and gave them an extra recess. Ha!

I did a lot of work this weekend on just improving things for my classroom. It was tiring, but I am hoping it will make life easier. I also went to a birthday dinner for all the October birthdays. Next week some friends and I are going to the beach for the night for my birthday. I am excited!

Last night my roommates and I got dressed up and went out to a nice dinner. We found a really beautiful restaurant. It was a nice change in atmosphere.

Well I am going to go relax a little before this next week starts. I have my first formal observation this week. I am feeling nervous about it, so keep me in your prayers. I hope your all doing well. Only 2 months till Christmas break! They are already decorating here and it makes me excited. Love you all!
