Well... I only have 6 days until I leave. Crazy!! I am all packed. I know I must be forgetting something! I still have some room, but not much extra weight to work with. It doesn't feel like I am moving because I can only take two suitcases. My list of things to do before I go is getting smaller :) Which makes me relieved and just a little bit scared. That means the only thing left to do is go!

I am getting a little more nervous as my departure date gets closer. So, here are some of my prayer requests: *That I would feel confident in my abilities * I will be able to adjust to the culture * That God will use people around me and the situations I am in to calm my nerves.

God has already been working on that last one, through a very thoughtful gift from a friend :) I got to meet up with some of my favorite people this week. We did some shopping and of course some eating. I also got to say goodbye to the family at Tracy's shower. Here are some fun picutures ~

Hey everyone! I have had a great week. My booger, Kelsey came and spent three whole days with me. It was great!! I don't know what I will do without her. So... I decided to take her with me! We went shopping and got the last of what I need for the DR. I feel much better now!!

We had a little Spring Arbor reunion on Sunday. I have great friends!! They were full of encouraging words for me. I get to see them again tonight :)

Kelsey and I took the girls to the beach for my last day of babysitting.

I will miss them lots! They have turned into beautifly young ladies.

This week has been full of goodbyes :( Lee Ann left for NC yesterday. She is a southern girl now! It will be a huge adjustment not having her around. I am so glad we got to spend the summer together!!

Hi! I got a call from SCS today. They asked me if I would be interested in teaching 1st grade instead of 2nd. They said that they needed to move some teachers around and they thought 1st would be a better fit for me. I was so excited I said yes right way!! I did my student teaching in Kindergarten, so I feel a little more prepared to teach 1st. I have also met with the 1st grade teacher who was there last year and she has set me up very well. She was really excited to hear that I am going to have her room. She assured me that everything is ready for me and I will love first grade. I just know this is God's doing!! Pray that I can get prepared for 1st grade now! I only have 3 weeks!

Hey Everyone! I was able to get a few of my much needed teaching supplies. I love the Dollar Tree! I got each of my students a pencil bag and folder. I also got some bulletin board decorations and prize box fillers. I am planning on sending them down to the DR as soon as I can.

I have less than four weeks until I go now. I can't believe it! The summer has gone by so fast. I am so excited! I know God is going to do great things with my time in the DR.
