Hola Everyone! Sorry it has taken me so long to update my blog. I was without the Internet until just a few days ago and I have been so busy. Wow! I have so much to say I don't even know where to start. Well, I had a great time in Indiana. It was nice getting to know all the new teachers before we came down. They are all great people, definitely called to be here. Here are some pictures of us in Indiana.

I love my apartment!! It's beautiful, but very empty and everything is very expensive here. We are hoping to get a table this week. It has been really hard coming home to a empty place everyday. It doesn't feel like home and just makes life a little more difficult. Here are some pictures of my new home!!

The top picture is of my kitchen and the one next to it is my living room. Those chairs aren't mine they are on loan. We will have to get some soon. The bottom left is my deck. It is beautiful out there!! The one on the right is my room. It is hard to get a good picture of it because it's small, but I have great cabinets.
This is the view from my deck. Isn't it beautiful!!! Can you see the mountains in the background? This is a picture of the outside. I am the top one on the left.
Our first weekend here we went to the beach for a spiritual retreat. It was great, but it was during tropical storm Fay! Ha, We thought it was so funny that we were going to the beach during a tropical storm!! We went swimming anyway! When lightning hit the ocean we screamed and ran out. Probably not the smartest move! It was a great time and the weather cleared. We went horseback riding on the beach. It was so beautiful!
On Sunday we all road Dominican style to church, crammed in the back of a pickup truck!! So much fun!
I also got to spend a day with a Dominican host family. I loved it! We went to church and then went swimming at a public pool. I have never been in such a full pool. Everyone was staring at me because of my light skin. It is always like that though, it's hard to get used to. I loved the church, I have been trying out different Spanish speaking churches. I usually have no idea what is going on, but it is a great way to learn the
language and get involved in the community.
Here is a before and after picture of my classroom. It was really overwhelming when at first, but it turned really nice.
Well, I have so much more to say, but I still have work to do to get ready for this week. So, I will try to add more later this week. I miss you all!! Love you lots!!
